McDaniel & Stapleton receive Hawkins Scholarship
Former Chico ISD students receive Lavonia Hawkins Scholarship for Fall 2020 Semester
Chico Public Library Inc has named Macy McDaniel and Whitney Stapleton as the Spring 2020 Lavonia Hawkins Scholarship recipients.
Macy is a 2019 graduate of Chico ISD and is seeking a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Texas Woman's University and intends to become a teacher. An active volunteer, Macy demonstrates the importance of giving back to your community and we are proud to offer her $1,500 to support her educational efforts. We wish her luck on her college and career journey.
A prior Hawkins Scholarship recipient, Whitney Stapleton continues her undergrad studies at Lubbock Christian University. CPLI Trustees are pleased to offer $1,000 in continued support of Whitney's education as she seeks to become a Special Education teacher.
