Lavonia Hawkins Scholarship Fund
Through a generous endowment by former Chico resident, long time teacher, and library supporter, Lavonia Hawkins, Chico Public Library has established the Lavonia Hawkins Scholarship Fund. The fund will award scholarships bi-annually. Applicants must have graduated from Chico High School and currently be enrolled in at least the Second (2nd) semester of college, and earning at least a Bachelors of Education. Scholarship applications will be available through the Chico High School guidance office, financial aid offices at local colleges, or Chico Public Library, C/O Scholarship Committee.
Application deadlines are May 15 and October 15.
