Amber Huff awarded Lavonia Hawkins Scholarship

Chico Public Library is proud to announce that Amber Huff is the recipient of a $2,500 Lavonia Hawkins college scholarship for the 2018 spring semester at the Tarrant County College. The Lavonia Hawkins Scholarship is awarded bi-annually to students who have graduated from Chico High School and have completed at least one semester of study with the intention of earning at least a Bachelor's degree in the field of education.

A Chico ISD graduate, Amber Huff is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Education. The CPLI Board is proud to recognize Amber's contribution to the community. Through her work as a Chico Public Library Intern she has demonstrated her commitment to life-long learning and the desire to share her knowledge with others. We wish her every success.
